A new look
Many a time we look at our lives and wonder what the purpose of life truly is or what our calling is, for the most of us we chase after what others would want of us rather than what God wants of us, we throw away our dreams and the desire God has for us to chase after the comfort of money. A saying I live by is “get comfortable being uncomfortable” it so happens to be the Way of God, what He calls us to do is never usually the most comfortable or easy thing but every minute of walking out His calling on our lives is more fulfilling than a full week in our own way.
In this way I have chosen to step out of the comforts of this world and pursue what God has laid on my heart, to use the talents He has given me to bring Him glory and honor and to also bless others in the things my hands create. My desire is that through the things I make that it will draw you to seeing God’s beauty through new eyes and to give Him the Glory and Honor He is worthy of.
My name is Isaac Lind, I live on an old farm in the Northwoods of Wisconsin where I am actively pursuing the talents God has given me. God is the center of my life and through pursuing these talents (especially bowl turning) it has opened my eyes to be able to see the beauty that lies within, the beauty that is under the surface of what may look ugly and undesirable. I love to just walk through the woods and soak in the beauty, not just on the outside with the beautiful colors in the fall and the vibrant greens in the spring and summer but to imagine what is within, what is beneath the surface; the glory of our God is never ending!
Another place I find myself is on the still waters of a lake fishing, where I can use and test the flies that I have tied and soak in the peace and glory of our God. Through Him we find our peace, through Him we find our purpose, through Him we find our destiny!
